Rich is a husband to his wonderful wife, Carol. They have two children, Hope and Paige. Rich grew up in Baltimore. He has spent most of his adult life here on the Eastern Shore, where he spent 14 years in the telecommunications industry working for Bell Atlantic and AT&T. He has spent the last 12 years in full time parish ministry. Rich has worked with young families and senior adults in both underserved and privileged communities. As Lead Pastor of Bayside Chapel, Rich has a passion in developing Christ centered ministries like Bayside Chapel. What excites Rich most in life is when someone turns their life over to Jesus Christ and to watch the transformation occur. He communicates in an authentic and heart-felt manner, and challenges the followers of Christ to share the grace of Jesus with all of humankind.
Ordained in the United Methodist Church, Rich possesses an undergraduate degree, a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing, from the University of Baltimore. He holds a Master of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
